Title
A Study on Characteristics of Treatment using Advanced Submererged Membrane Bioreactor (ASMBR) System
강용태 Yong Tae Kang , 조용현 Yong Hyun Cho
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to present a stringent nutrient removal requirement as well as water reuse standards. The advanced submerged membrane bioreactor(ASMBR) system has been consisted of anoxic relector and aerobic tank with the immersed plate membrane. The pilot-scale plant could be carried out with the treatment capacity of 50m³/day and HRT 5.7h. The mass balance equations of the ASMBR system including organic matters and nitrogen could be practically applied to design a new wastewater treatment facility. The following is summarized as resulted in this study. In the ASMBR system treatment characteristics, the removal efficiencies of BOO ranged from 96.5% to 98.5% and COD from 92.9% to 97.0%. The removal efficiencies are shown 99.5~99.8% for the turbidity and 86.1~96.9% for the color. The good removal results were also observed for the SS and the total coliform. These results could be applied to a good effluent for suitable standards of the reuse water. For nitrogen removal with the recycle ratios of 1~3, the removal efficiencies of T-N have been revealed as 54.1%, 69.8%, 76.6% and 81.9%, respectively. The T-N removal efficiencies are improved as 15.7% for 1.5Q to 22.5% for 2Q and finally 27.8% for 3Q more than 1Q. However NH^(+)₄-N removal efficiencies show 91.5% for 1Q, 93.4% for 1.5%, 91.0% for 2Q and 89.7% for 3Q, which it indicates the decrease in proportion to the increase of the recycle ratios.
